Runes & Regulations Campaign FINAL HOURS!!!

Okay, so I know that by now you are all probably really really tired of hearing from me about Runes & Regulations, but I promise that after this I'll leave you alone!

(Ok, maybe not -- but at least I'll leave you alone about this specifically...)

Anyway, I really wanted to make just one more comprehensive update here about this game for anyone who has been on the fence about backing it because WE'RE NOW OFFICIALLY IN THE FINAL HOURS OF THE CAMPAIGN!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

This is going to be a completely massive update, so I've organized everything into a handy table of contents to help guide you through all of the information.

1. The game is beautiful. Just look at it!!!

With more components than Unstable Unicorns, Runes & Regulations also has a much bigger box (like, twice as big!!). And early on in the campaign, backers unlocked upgrades like a magnetic closure box and linen-finish cards, so you can rest assured that the quality will be awesome. <3

2. Speaking of Kickstarter Exclusives...

As always, we have tons of Kickstarter Exclusive items to offer with the game -- stuff you won't be able to get in stores ever again. And two of them are FREE to all backers of our previous campaigns (that's you!).

If you back the campaign (even at $1!), you will automatically have these two cards added to your pledge as a thank you for your continuing support. The Unstable Unicorn card is meant to go into your Runes & Regulations game, while the Creature Master Unicorn is playable with your Unstable Unicorns game.

4. There's already expansion in the works, too! 

 In case you missed it, we also already launched a whole expansion for Runes & Regulations called Nefarious Neighbor. This isn't just your run-of-the-mill 54-card expansion, but a full 100+ card deck that introduces 5-8 player support to the game, plus several new mechanics. I might be biased, but I think it's really f***ing cool.

Nefarious Neighbor is available as part of the campaign, so make sure to pick up a copy along with your base game! I promise you won't be disappointed.

5. Oh, did I mention that we've also announced A WHOLE NEW UNSTABLE UNICORNS GAME?

That's right! Our brand-new game, Unstable Unicorns: NSFW, is available for the first time ever for pre-order through the Runes & Regulations campaign!  This new version combines all the cards from the NSFW expansion you already know and love with 73 brand-new cards (plus 8 reference cards) to make a complete 135-card game!  It's 100% NSFW, 100% of the time, and we couldn't be more excited. >:D

6. Also, a whole new Exiled Legends Expansion. DO WE EVER STOP???

Because we never just work on one thing at once, it just so happens that this campaign is ALSO the first place you'll be able to pre-order Exiled Legends; Earth & Air Expansion! This expansion introduces two new elemental teams to battle -- the Earth team, lead by The Chained Titan, and the Air team, lead by The Sylph Queen. With two new Legends, that means there's room now for up to 7 players in the game, so you can vanquish even more of your enemies (friends?) than before!

7. We've got plenty of other ADD-ONS, of course!!

And I think they're pretty darn awesome, too. (Do you see those magnificent Unstable Games dice!?)

Just as with all the other campaigns, backers in the US get their add-ons with no extra shipping charge, and backers in the rest of the world pay just $5 for as many add-ons as you want! Even if the rest of the campaign isn't your thing, pledging $1 will still get you access to the add-ons store and all of this goodness. <3

8. We've unlocked a LOT of stretch goals (but we could use your help to take it all the way!)

We've blasted through tons of stretch goals so far, but if you pledge now, you could help unlock even more of them! We still have a few awesome things waiting to be unlocked, like adding more Dark Runes to the Nefarious Neighbor expansion and another KSE card to add to every base game.

9. The community is awesome!

 We've gotten so many submissions for social stretch goals and no one's stopping there. [If you backed UU: C&C, you might've already seen this update, but I wanted to make sure all UU backers got a chance to see this new UU Kickstarter exclusive card!!]

So a lot of people have been asking if it’s possible to make a new Unstable Unicorns card as part of our Runes & Regulations campaign, and we’ve decided to unlock a secret stretch goal!! 

Introducing the Kickstarter Exclusive Creature Master Unicorn

This card will be automatically added to pledges of any backers who have backed one of our previous projects if we hit $555,555 on Runes & Regulations! (You’ll also still get the Kickstarter Exclusive Unstable Unicorn card for your Runes & Regulations game as well)

Also, since I messed up our communication on our Early Bird tiers (my bad, sorry!!!), we’ve reopened them for a bit longer to give people a chance to switch into the right tiers.

Also also, in case you haven’t seen the updates there, we’ve started working on artwork for our new Nefarious Neighbor expansion, which adds corrupted creatures and player roles to the Runes & Regulations game!

Our Newest Adventure: RUNES & REGULATIONS: A Game of Suburban Sorcery

(I know some people receiving this update have already received one about our newest game- if that's you, I've included a sneak preview of some never-before-seen artwork at the end of this update!)

Just a few hours ago, I launched our newest game- Runes & Regulations: A Game of Suburban Sorcery. We hit our funding goal in 23 minutes, and the project has already surpassed $100k in funding!!! 

And with that...

So much goes into putting together a new Kickstarter project, and this one in particular has been such a massive undertaking. I've been dreaming of launching this game for a very long time, and I haven't been this excited about something we've worked on since, well, Unstable Unicorns. It is so amazing to finally get to show the community what we've been working on behind the scenes for so long. And just as with our Unstable Unicorns campaigns, we want this new project to be as interactive as possible so we can make it the best game it can possibly be. 

As a special bonus for all backers of any our previous projects, we are adding a special card to your pledge automatically: the notorious Unstable Unicorn itself. (You don't have to do anything to have this card added to your pledge- we will do it automatically for anyone who backed any of our previous projects!)

This fourth-wall breaking card is completely Kickstarter Exclusive and is playable in the new game. Just a way to bring a little Unstable Unicorns flair into the Runes & Regulations universe (just for you!!)

There are also other Kickstarter Exclusive items in the campaign as well, such as this Stunning Kitsune Enamel Pin, which will automatically be added to every pledge that happens in the first 3 days of the campaign!

Since the project has already soared past our funding goal, we've announced some stretch goals on the campaign:

We've also been drawing our backers as sorcerers and will continue to do so throughout the campaign!

One more note for those who have not backed the project. The following items will not be available for preorder on BackerKit for anyone who does not back the Unstable Unicorns: Control & Chaos project:

I note this because I know a lot of people waited on the original campaign and pre-ordered after it was over, and that will not be an option this time around. As such, if you haven’t backed and were planning to pre-order, I’d strongly suggest at least putting in $1 so that you get access to all the items in BackerKit once the surveys go out.

FINAL HOURS: Unstable Unicorns Control & Chaos (AKA the Backercorn Project AKA Unicorns Forever)

The final countdown has begun!!  I wanted to give a comprehensive update on Unstable Unicorns: Control & Chaos for anyone who has been on the fence about backing it. This update might have some stuff in it that you’ve already seen, but there are also some previews into new things that have not yet been revealed mixed in throughout!  (Please note- this is the longest UU Update of all time)

First, a reminder:

*Unstable Unicorns: Control & Chaos is 100% Kickstarter exclusive. That means if you don't back it here, it won't be available to purchase later in stores, online, or at conventions.

*Control & Chaos are NOT expansion packs. They are two fully playable, standalone games that do not require you to own the original Unstable Unicorns (although, if you're feeling extra wild, you can shuffle them together for a massive game).

 There was so much I wanted to put in this update, and I decided that the best thing to do was to make a top 10 list of the things you should know about this project

1. The artwork is glorious 

We have been creating all the artwork in real time throughout the campaign based on backer suggestions, and this week we are going to be aggressively working to finish as many of the cards as we possibly can (and hopefully have the entire deck finished before the end of the week!)

We will also be doing a 12-hour overnight drawing event during the last 12 hours of the campaign. We wanted to make sure our backers around the world had an opportunity to enjoy our live drawings, so our artists (myself included) will be working through the night to make it a reality for everyone.

2. The exclusive collector’s box is humongous 

This box can hold over 2,000 SLEEVED cards plus 16 play mats, so you can fit everything UU (and maybe other card games too if you feel so inclined).

4. The artbook, play mats, and other exclusives won’t ever be available again

Our artbook is also completely exclusive, and it will include a ton of content showing some of the creation process, webcomics, character development, and multiple full-page spreads from our artists in different art styles.

5. Every backer of the original campaign gets an exclusive gold and black enamel pin

This charm pin won’t be available for anyone else, or ever again after this campaign. It features The Proudest Unicorn, which was our $1M stretch goal from the original campaign <3

6. The Dragons expansion is 50% off so that you can get all the cards you didn’t get the first time

Since we added 27 cards to the Dragons expansion, we decided to discount the expansion on our add-ons for this campaign to 50% off so that everyone can get it with the tuck box and extra cards.

7. Backercorns We have been drawing backercorns throughout the campaign, and we have many more to do still.

8. Llamas Unleashed

Llamas Unleashed, a brand new game, will be available for preorder through BackerKit on this campaign and will ship with your pledge. The artwork is so good, and we will be including a SURPRISE exclusive card for anyone who preorders through the Kickstarter (and by surprise, I mean we haven’t designed it yet, but we will reveal it as soon as it’s ready!)

9. We have almost reached our 30th social stretch goal

We have hit 29 social stretch goals, and if we hit 20,000 backers, we will hit our 30th one which means EVERY PLEDGE will receive an exclusive charm pin.

Here is a first look at these exclusive pin designs (for if we hit 1 more goal):

The Archangel Unicorn has a gold outline, and the Nightmare Unicorn has a silver outline. You don’t have to do anything to have this added to your pledge- it will happen automatically- You will get to choose which one you like more, and if you want both, you’ll have the option to get the other one as an extra add-on.

10. We have the best community in the entire world

We have had incredible engagement from the most positive, talented, and amazing group of backers I could have possibly asked for. This campaign has been one of the most fun experiences of my life with all of the contributions people have submitted. I already posted these in an update on the other campaign, but I wanted to share some of what Unstable Unicorns fans have submitted so far for your enjoyment.
